Poetry over coffee

Dexter Rocks My World!!!

Here is a photo of Dexter my adopted rescue cat. He was a long term stray and was brought into the Animal Accident Rescue Unit in Nottingham. I decided to foster him after never previously looking after a cat before and well, it was love at first sight. He stole my heart! I have since adopted him and I am now his proud owner!

'Home' now published in Ceremony - USA poetry journal !!

My poem 'Home' has now been included in the Spring 2010 Twelfth Issue of the USA publication entitled 'Ceremony a journal of poetry and other arts'. Many thanks to the editor Melanie Monterey E, at Dance of My Hands Publishing on this.

Poetry accepted in recruitment publication!

KB Recruitment are a successful care agency and have included my work in their Winter 2010 newsletter. The director requested that I write something specific for the needs of the elderly or for those who have suffered with mental illness, which I was happy to do. I am a firm believer that all writing is a form of therapy and if it can help in any way, then that can only be a good thing. Many thanks to Beccie at KB Recruitment on this.

Reviews for Buffy and Beyond...

'I really like this lovely little A5 poetry booklet that Anita has put together. 'Office Design' likens people's personalities to office equipment, which sounds strange, but is cleverly done. 'Hard Day's Night' takes in the dreaded subject of talent competitions. Anita has even written a poem about an interview experience that she has had. With poems about her brother, mother, father and friends, this is a pleasant read. With 50% donation of the cost going to charity, this is a very worthwhile and enjoyable purchase'.  - Amanda Morgan Editor of Splizz Poetry Magazine

'Amusing, perceptive and sincere poems. The poet writes in forms and free verse and succeeds in connecting with the reader' - Peter Thabit Jones Editor of 'The Seventh Quarry' Swansea Poetry Magazine
