Poetry over coffee

Welcome to Poetry over coffee

A site dedicated to all people who enjoy a creative kind of life.

About me and poetry over coffee : My name is Anita McNamee and I began writing poetry as a teenager. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to see my poems published within several anthologies and in 2008, I produced my first collection of poetry entitled 'Buffy and Beyond - the therapy years'. My current book 'Honesty is the best policy' self published 2010 is now on sale.

I have always enjoyed writing as it helps me make sense of life, love and modern day living.

My other inspirations include knitting, cross stitch and art collages. I believe poetry is a word that can be used to describe the things in life that bring you pleasure.

As I enjoy creating things, be it writing a poem or knitting a scarf whilst enjoying a hot beverage, I named the site 'Poetry over Coffee', strange but true lol!

I do hope you enjoy my website and thanks for stopping by.
